Field is set in Jacksonville special election

by The 100 Companies

The Jacksonville City Council special election field is set. The At-Large Group 3 seat, made vacant by the passing of former Mayor and Council President Tommy Hazouri, will be determined in a First Election Dec. 7, and if no candidate achieves majority, the top two advance to a Feb. 22 General Election.

All registered voters in Duval County may choose between four candidates who qualified by last Friday’s deadline and all four will appear on the First Election ballot.

Democrats Tracye Polson and James “Coach” Jacobs will appear on the ballot along with Republicans Nick Howland and Howland “Howdy” Russell.
